So what does a typical school day look like for students at SVA? Our school day is from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 2:30 pm on Fridays. (Those riding the Centerville school bus will continue with the same Monday-Thursday schedule on Fridays.)
In High School, six credits are considered a normal class load. Students may have no more than two study hall periods a day unless approved by the Academic Standards Committee. To be a member of any class, a student must have the following required minimum unit credits at the beginning of the year:
Seniors: 18 credits
Juniors: 12 credits
Sophomores: 6 credits
Our middle school schedule features a diverse range of course that varies within each of the four years to best prepare students for an even more rigorous high school curriculum.
