Contributions to the Annual Fund are unrestricted gifts that directly support students, programs and school facilities.  SVA depends on Annual Fund revenues to help balance the annual budget.

Why is the Annual Fund so important to Spring Valley Academy?
Unrestricted gifts provide the most critical dollars for the school because they allow maximum flexibility to apply funds where they are needed most.  By participating, each family expresses confidence in the schools' current mission and helps ensure future prosperity.

At SVA we have made a commitment that no child who wishes to attend SVA be denied based on lack of finances as long as their families are willing to do their part.  This year we have seventy students receiving some sort of financial aid.  These students are a vital part of our school.  They are active in student missions, art, athletics, music, etc.  Your gifts to the Worthy Student Fund will ensure that these students have the opportunity for Christian Education inspiring them to Know, Follow, and Share Jesus!

Gideon's Band was created in 2006 to help close the gap between tuition and church subsidies and the actual cost of educating the students of SVA.  Gideon's Band is comprised of committed stewards who have pledged to give an unrestricted gift annually, for the rest of their income-producing lives.  You may join Gideon's Band by promising to give annually:

Trumpet Level   (less than $2,000 per year)
Torch Level       ($1,000 to $3,000 per year)
Pitcher Level     ($100 to $999 per year)

Gideon's Band currently adds over $50,000 annually to SVA's unrestricted revenue.  Our goal is to increase annual Gideon's Band giving to $250,000.
