The choral groups at Spring Valley Academy are under the direction of Mrs. Gail Hall and include the following: 

5th Grade Choir

Meets twice weekly and may perform for special occasions. They are also a part of a musical performance during the school year.

6th Grade Choir

Meets  twice weekly and may perform for specail occasions. They are also a part of a musical performance during the school year

Middle School Choir

Grades 7-8 meet  twice weekly and may perform for Sabbath services in the surrounding area churches on occassion.  Middle school choir also gives a musical drama performance during the school year.

High School School

The choir sings for major school events, gives three or four major concerts per year, sings for Sabbath services at surrounding area churches and takes one major tour per school year.  High school choir also gives a musical drama performance during the school year.

Koraliers

This is a select choral group that performs for many of the small churches in the Dayton area.  Emphasis is given to musicianship and interpretation of choral literature.

CHOIR UNIFORMS

We will be dressed in red and black again this year.  There are several graduates from last year who might wish to sell their uniforms so let me know if you are interested.  We will be ordering within the first week of school so that we can have our uniforms by the September Hymnfest.

"SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS"

The number one question of the year is "what musical are we doing next?"  On November 6 we will present the musical "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" (aka 7X7).  It is a fun musical with lots of parts for lots of people.  Mrs. Grodrian and Mrs. Erickson will once again be working with us to make this another amazing production.  Rent the movie and watch to see what we will be doing.  Get your cowboy boots and hats to be ready for some courtin' and sparkin'.  If those terms are new to you ask Mom & Dad for a definition!  Actually...better ask Grandma & Grandpa!  Also, guys, a good pair of red flannel long johns will help, too!  Auditions will be held in August.
